PasaPOS has two kinds of sign-in and shops mix them up, usually by sharing the owner password with everyone. Do not do that.
Staff accounts
A staff account belongs to one named person, with their own email, their own password and a role. Staff appear on the Staff screen as ID badges with their role, their phone and the branch they work at. Use these for the people you manage: a manager, a supervisor, an accountant.
Because the account is personal, what happens under it can be traced to a person. That matters the day a discount nobody remembers appears on a bill.
POS logins
A POS login belongs to a station, not a person: the counter, the kitchen tablet, a waiter phone. Several people share it during a shift, which is exactly what you want when three waiters use the same tablet. Create them under POS logins, and give the kitchen one that opens on the kitchen screen.
A station login sees what the station needs and nothing more. The kitchen tablet should not be able to read your takings.
Which do I use?
- A person you would write on a payroll: staff account.
- A device that sits in one place and is used by whoever is on shift: POS login.
Two rules worth keeping
Never give out the owner account. It can change prices, read every report and alter settings, and once it is shared you cannot take it back without changing the password on everybody.
Change a station password when someone leaves. It takes a minute, and it is the whole security of a shared login.
Branches
Staff can be assigned to specific branches, so a person sees the shop they work in. See running more than one branch.
