Plan expiry and renewal

What happens as your plan nears its end date, what an expired licence locks, and what happens to your data.

Your plan has an end date, and PasaPOS warns you well before it rather than surprising you during a rush.

Before the date

You are reminded as the date approaches, a week ahead and again the day before, by email and text depending on your settings. The reminders go to the contact details on your account, so keep those current. If your manager handles billing, put their number there.

After the date

An expired licence locks the POS. Signing in takes you to a renewal screen instead of the till, which is deliberate: it is better to be stopped at nine in the morning with a reminder than halfway through a Saturday dinner service.

Your data

Nothing is deleted. Your menu, products, customers, stock, orders and reports are all kept. Renewing restores access to exactly what you had, with no restore step and nothing to re-enter.

Renewing

Contact us to renew, or to move to another plan at the same time. If you are on Starter and spent the last month wishing guests could order from your website, renewing is the natural moment to move to Pro. Upgrading only switches features on, so there is no migration and no downtime.

Avoiding the lock

Renew a few days early. The date is known months in advance, and an expiry during a festival week is an expensive way to save three days of licence.
